Sic Semper Tyrannis | Thus Always to Tyrants

This is Virginia’s motto, and it is the message of my campaign.

However, the tyrant today is not a king nor a dictator, but something far worse. Our tyrant today is a massive welfare-warfare state funded by the Federal Reserve. This tyrant is invasive – it corrupts and destroys everything in its path. This tyrant takes your money. This tyrant disregards your property. This target dissolves your liberty. This tyrant is bankrupting American Freedom and American Lives.

It does not have to be this way.

My name is Matt Waters. I am a husband and father of five. I am also a lifelong Virginian, whose family dates back to Jamestown 1607. My grandfather worked in the Newport News Shipbuilding & Drydock Co., my father graduated from VCU and taught at Thomas Nelson Community College in Hampton for his entire career. My late mother graduated from Christopher Newport University & Old Dominion University. I myself am a graduate of Hampton High School, of George Mason University in Fairfax, and am finishing a Masters Degree at the Reformed Theological Seminary in McLean, Virginia.

Are you fed up?

Are you are fed up with the lies and corruption of one-party Republican-Democrat rule in Washington? I am. The Establishment is unwilling to address the most critical problem we face today: out of control spending that threatens the future of our Republic.

Please join my campaign to cut federal spending, eliminate federal income taxes (and give you a 7-10% pay raise), and curb our military involvement around the world. Together, let’s do something new, something positive, something significant to change the state of Virginia and spread liberty throughout the entire country: vote Libertarian!
