Educational Opportunities

Education is a gift we give our children. Together, we can make K-12 education safer and our students more successful.

Enterprise Zones

Enterprise Zones create jobs and renew communities. Together, can renew the strong manufacturing spirit of Newport News.

Medical Freedom

Medical freedom is a fundamental right. While we all hold different views, protecting each other’s medical rights unifies, while allowing for diversity. Let’s respect, and protect, our medical rights.

Meet Matt

Matt is a husband to Anne Marie and father of five and grandfather to one. Matt and Annie are celebrating 25 years of matrimony this year. Matt is local to Newport News. He was born August 12, 1967 at Riverside Hospital and was born-again on August 12, 1984 at Riverside Baptist Church. He attended school at South Morrison, Deer Park, and James Lee where he learned to play tenor saxophone, shoot some hoops, and meet life-long friends.

Matt’s dad was a professor at Thomas Nelson Community College and his mom, who received degrees from Christopher Newport and Old Dominion, went on to teach rhetoric. Matt received his AA from Thomas Nelson, his BA from George Mason University, and his Masters of Religion at Reformed Theological Seminary in Vienna, VA.

Matt has taken an active role serving his community in Boy Scouts of America where his three sons achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, he is a member of Gideons International, has served as board chair to his local area pregnancy help center, and as Director of Family Ministry at his local church.

In a display of his independent political views and his desire to work across party lines, Matt ran a state-wide third-party campaign garnering over 65,000 votes in 2018, where he was endorsed by the Constitution Party, the Virginia Tea Party, and Libertarian Party.

Today Matt is CEO to F Street Partners, a national direct response advertising agency with offices in Washington, D.C. and Williamsburg, VA. For over thirty years Matt has provided research and counsel to clients on a wide range of issues, including balanced budgets, tax reform, election integrity, sanctity of human life, family policy, urban initiatives, education and medical freedom, economic enterprise zones, and the U.S. Constitution.
